Brszny Derydaripov has a new collection of poems out. It’s called When Doth, and consists of nineteen poems, each beginning with those two very words. Here’s an excerpt from my current favourite, When Doth the Dove:
When doth the dove cough?
I heard it coo
I fancy that you heard it too
But did you ever catch it cough?
She said, with grace, ‘No I think not.
I never heard that poor dove cough’
And so on and so forth.
More on this later, if you’re well behaved.
